Job Description

Miniclip is looking for an Accounts Payable Clerk to form part of our shared services finance team in our Lisbon (PT) Office, which provides services to the various Miniclip Studios. This is a full-time position, reporting to the AP/AR Manager. Please apply only if you have the right to work in Portugal.

The ideal candidate will be someone comfortable working without direct supervision, with experience in working in a share service centre with frequent contact across multiple countries.

What will you be doing at Miniclip?

  • Manage and process incoming invoices (or similar documents), including financial postings to our ERP system (Microsoft Dynamics) in an accurate and timely manner and in compliance with company policies and local standards/regulations, especially VAT and withholding tax
  • Manage expense claims (business travel and other expenses) processing, including posting and checking to internal guidelines and policies
  • Assist in the monthly payment run, including monitoring invoice approvals
  • Perform regular accounts payable reconciliations and control aged creditors - take the necessary actions to resolve open items and issues
  • Address and respond to vendor inquiries, including monitoring the Finance team inbox
  • Manage credit card expenses including posting and collecting invoices
  • Complete period end closing activities for accounts payable
  • Manage and process other standard GL journal entries as required
  • Assist the Financial Accounting team in fulfilling year end audit requests
  • Actively contribute to a strong control environment within the Miniclip Studios, including applying accurate safeguards to ensure there are no weaknesses and deficiencies in internal controls

What are we looking for?

  • 3-5 years of experience in accounting, specifically accounts payable
  • Minimum of a High School Diploma
  • Deep and broad understanding of accounts payable including VAT regulations
  • Global knowledge in Finance processes and exposure to best practice in a large Shared Services Centre environment
  • Previous experience working in Accounts Payable for an Italian company will be valued
  • Strong time management and organizational skills
  • High degree of attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks
  • Excellent teamwork, strong communication, and collaborative mindset skills, comfortable in dealing with all levels of the organization
  • Results and quality oriented
  • Fluent in English, written and spoken (mandatory)
  • Experience of Microsoft Dynamics 365 is a plus
  • Solid MS Office knowledge (word, excel and outlook)
  • Advance excel, Power Query and Power BI are valued
