As a Data Engineer at Miniclip, you will play a key role in the development, testing, and maintenance of our data platform, supporting services used across our games and business operations. You will ensure data quality, monitor data pipelines, and help implement best practices across the Data Engineering team.

 

What will you be doing at Miniclip?

As a Data Engineer, your responsibilities will include: 

- Designing and implementing data platforms and pipelines that support business objectives and processes using cutting-edge technologies.

- Collaborating with cross-functional teams (data analysts, data scientists, and other stakeholders) to understand their data needs and develop tailored solutions.

- Ensuring data security and compliance with data privacy regulations.

- Maintaining data quality by creating and enforcing data validation and testing procedures.

- Monitoring data pipelines to identify and resolve issues, ensuring smooth data flow.

- Identifying opportunities to improve data infrastructure, increasing efficiency, scalability, and automation.

- Staying current with emerging technologies and trends in the data ecosystem to continuously improve practices and processes.

 

What are we looking for?

We’re looking for a proactive team player who is passionate about games and has the following skills and experience:

- Experience developing scalable data platforms, with a focus on event-driven architecture and working with high volumes of data.

- Familiarity with distributed computing frameworks like Apache Spark.

- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or Scala.

- Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MongoDB).

- Knowledge of version control, testing, and the development cycle.

- Experience with orchestration tools such as Airflow.

- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines in the context of the data environment.

- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform is a plus.

- Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure).

- Comfort working with the Linux command line.

- Strong problem-solving abilities and the ability to work independently.

- Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
