Job Description

We’re looking for a Software Developer to join our Bubble Games Team; which focuses on maintaining and improving an extensive portfolio of Bubble Shooter games.
You’ll combine your technical skills with product driven decision making to deliver fun features that add value to our games. You’ll be working within a team of game developers to define, implement and release solutions that can shape the future of the entire franchise.

What will you be doing at Miniclip?

As a Software Developer, you’ll help power the Bubble Shooter portfolio, one of the studio’s biggest revenue drivers. You’ll work on games played by thousands of players daily, producing robust solutions and revitalizing the classic Bubble Shooter experience, transforming it into today’s standards.

You will:

• Help shape the technical direction of the franchise by actively participating in architecture discussions and key technical decisions.
• Design, implement, maintain and deliver gameplay and meta features, contributing to their evolution from concept to production.
• Maintain and evolve a large codebase, improving it's technical quality by adopting modern Typescript and C++ features.
• Explore both Android and iOS architectures.
• Build and evolve lightweight tools, technical frameworks, and workflows that enable the team to deliver robust solutions.
• Collaborate closely with Product and Engineering Managers and challenge ideas in the team constructively to improve outcomes.
• Proactively remove impediments and support the team in delivering more efficiently over time.

What are we looking for?

We are looking for a collaborative, proactive, and hands-on developer who understands the complexity of already established games. Someone that can identify when to be surgical and precise but also when to discard existing implementations and start from scratch. You will continuously learn, challenge your own skillset, and encourage the same mindset in others.

• 2+ years of mobile game development experience or equivalent.
• Proven expertise in software design patterns and strong engineering practices.
• Ability to work around the existing codebase, understanding risk and managing multiple repositories.
• Engage in team discussions, bringing new ideas and challenging current ones. Expressing your opinions and presenting new topics and opportunities to the team.
• Passion for creating engaging features, experimenting with new ideas and continuous self-development.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to existing processes but also a strong sense of criticism and desire to improve.
• Strong team communication, collaboration, and planning skills, with a mindset focused on shared ownership and collective success.
