Miniclip is looking for a Software Developer to join our Carrom team in our Lisbon (Portugal) Games Development Studio.

What will you be doing at Miniclip?

 

  • Extend our gameplay and meta features and deploy them to the mobile app stores (Android and iOS)

  • Develop in-house tools to support the development cycle and live operations

  • Help shape the technical direction of the project, actively participating in architecture discussions and key technical decisions

  • Work in an agile environment to ensure the timely completion of the product roadmap

  • Collaborate alongside individuals from diverse backgrounds and expertise areas (Product, Game Design, Art, Marketing, …)

 

What are we looking for?

 

We are looking for a collaborative, proactive, and hands-on developer who enjoys working on a diverse team with an active role on decision and execution. Someone who understands that in development there are moments for urgency and moments for quality to be the main driver towards a successful product.

 

  • 2+ years of professional game or mobile development experience

  • Ability to write maintainable and scalable code, adapting to the needs of the platform or product

  • Good awareness and application of software design patterns and development principles

  • Eager to learn and adapt, with a strong sense of criticism and curiosity

  • Displays growth mindset and learning agility towards novel topics and technologies

  • Very good communication (in English), collaboration and time management skills

  • Strong C++ and/or Objective-C knowledge

 

The following skills are desirable but not essential (if you have them, don’t forget to mention them):

  • Experience in Python or Lua

  • Experience with CI/CD frameworks

  • Experience in Agile development methodologies (Scrum)

  • Experience in developing multiplayer games
